The First Things.

I am a boring, run-of-the-mill, cradle-Catholic.
That being said, I am in many ways not boring and run-of-the-mill. I believe with an emphatic passion, in what the Catholic Church teaches. I don't pretend to understand everything she teaches, just like I still struggle with everything that God teaches. I do, however, emphatically seek to understand these things. I believe that this makes me possibly not so "run-of-the-mill". I wish this were not so - the more you seek truth, the more beautiful it becomes, and the less weighty some matters seem. God is like that - "For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" Matthew 11:30.

All in all, I promise neither intelligent wit or incredible spiritual insight. This blog will mainly be musings on what I thought about during the day/week that made me feel God was close, or made me want to cry out from the rooftops, "God is amazing, he loves EVERYONE so MUCH and so JOYFULLY!" Most likely something that amused me or humbled me, in equal measures. If anything does come out as intelligent or particularly insightful, it is not mine to claim - but the Holy Spirit's.

"Who has learned your counsel, unless you have given wisdom and sent your holy spirit from on high?" - Wisdom 9:17
